Operations Case Study

Challenge:

Gravitas Worldwide Limited had identified that tracking containers and MAWB’s within their current TMS – CargoWise is approx. 60% accurate, with as long as 72 hours in latency before any movements/ front end data fields are updated to reflect what the carrier is displaying on their website.  This causes labour intensive manual tracking to reduce the latency on updates but this still does not provide any insights or a solution to manual processing.

Execution:

FYI deployed its seamless integration of Cargo Visual that is via Gravitas Worldwide’s TMS Cargo Wise provided by Wise Tech Global.  FYI’s intuitive exception model and autonomous tracking of Containers and MAWBs provides above 90% in accuracy of autonomous multimodal freight movements, with very limited latency – in some cases minutes before updates are received to their Cargo Wise instance via automation.

Deliverable:

The service provides granualar insight to the movements, delays and lots of Business Intelligence analytics for Gravitas Worldwide to elevate operational pain points previously faced. “With the current issues faced within the Suez Canal and the increases in freight rates, we feel we are prepared when the congestion starts to increase and delays start to occur with the shipping lines”.
